What to Expect on the Drive
The cabin is in the mountains with a few winding roads. It is easily accessible, as is the driveway. Although snow is rare, we recommend cars with 4WD or chains during the winter months.
Details: All roads are paved!
The road to the cabin is a little narrow, so use caution when going around curves. Vehicles exiting the area will often pull into driveways to allow those entering to pass.
The Smoky Mountains National Park area is very hilly, and the cabin is on a hill too. The steepest part of your drive will be right as you approach. There is a hairpin turn that will lead straight to the driveway, which is also steep. For your safety if there is ice on the roads you will want a vehicle that can handle those conditions.
Our Contact Details
We are available Monday – Friday 9am-5pm via Platform Messenger only.
In the event of an emergency, please contact the appropriate service. All local emergency numbers are listed here in the guide book.
Getting Yourself Oriented
Overview of the Area
The cabin is centrally located just outside of Pigeon Forge and the Arts & Crafts district, where local amenities can be visited in just a few minutes.
The Parkway, just a couple miles away, is where all of the buzz is happening. Countless restaurants and activities can be found on this strip.
The local area guide has some of our favorite locations.
Suggestions if you arrive early
If you arrive before check-in, don’t worry – there’s lots to do!
Practically speaking, why not visit the grocery store and do a small shop? That will give you more time to relax once you’ve checked in!
There are also a few good restaurants for lunch, so you could relax and enjoy some of the local food! You can see our list of favorite local restaurants here.
Cabin Guide
Appliance Instructions & Information
Special Notes – Please Read
- The cabin is on a septic system, toilets are for toilet paper only.
- No grease in the sink.
- The cabin is on a well. The water goes through a filtration system and is safe for drinking. It may appear cloudy or have a tint of color. This is normal.
- We have a reverse osmosis kitchen system, so the small faucet on the left hand side of the kitchen sink provides crystal clear, fresh drinking water.
Heating & Cooling
There are multiple ways to cool and heat the cabin:
Honeywell Home T9 Wifi Smart Thermostat {user guide here)
This is located in the dining area near the kitchen and left side guest room.
If you’re running the air conditioning or heat, please ensure that all windows and outside doors are closed to ensure it operates at the maximum efficiency.
We recommend a setting of 72F / 22C which we find keeps the place at a comfortable temperature. The thermostat has been programmed to not go below 68F to prevent the coils on the HVAC from freezing.
The gas fireplace is available for your enjoyment from October through March.
The fireplace is operated on a timer. Simply turn the knob, located on the wall to the left of the fireplace, to your desired time. Sit back, and enjoy the warmth.
Ceiling fans (in the loft and left side guest room), and two portable fans (located in the bathroom closet) are also available for your comfort.
To operate the loft ceiling fan and light (dimmable), use the attached remote control:
- (0) Pressing and holding down this button will dim or brighten the light
- (1) Slow Fan Speed
- (2) Medium Fan Speed
- (3) High Fan Speed
ADT
Sometimes, when the power is disconnected, the ADT panel will beep. You can silence the panel by pressing the [OFF] or [#] buttons on the keypad.
Laundry
We have a washing machine and dryer located in the laundry nook near the kitchen door. You will need to provide your own detergent and dryer sheets.
The washing machine is meant for small loads of laundry. Please do not wash the towels or bedding as the machines are not large enough to accommodate large loads.
Also located in the laundry area:
- Folding Chairs and Table can be used to provide additional seating inside or outside
- Pack N Play located in a convenient storage case, really easy to put together. Instructions here.

For your safety and to keep your vehicle safe, do not leave food or ice chests in your car or outside.
